Vendor advisory for hospitality software platforms. Technology strategy for operators. Market intelligence across the stack. All grounded in 25 years of operating experience.
Working directly with hospitality software companies to develop commercial partnerships, navigate the operator landscape, and build market presence across Ireland and the UK. Current clients include Voucher Connect and Lightspeed.
Stack selection, implementation oversight, and integration management for independent operators and small multi-site groups. Vendor-agnostic — no product to sell, no commission conflict. Just the right advice for your operation.
Competitive analysis, product gap mapping, and operator validation for software companies preparing to enter or expand in the Irish and UK hospitality market. Ground-truth research built on real operator relationships.
Looking at a hospitality tech deal? I provide operator-level due diligence — validating product-market fit, assessing the competitive landscape, stress-testing go-to-market assumptions, and giving you the view from the kitchen floor, not just the pitch deck.
Tell me about your operation, your product, or your investment thesis. I ask the right questions and give you an honest, operator-grounded view — no agenda, no upsell.
I propose a clear scope — whether that's a market intelligence report, a go-to-market advisory retainer, or an ongoing technology support arrangement. Fixed or retainer, your choice.
I execute. For operators, that means technology guidance and vendor navigation. For software companies and investors, it means insight, introductions, and strategic input that compounds over time.
25 years in hospitality operations, followed by a decade advising the technology companies that serve the sector. I've been in the weeds as an operator and at the strategy table as an advisor. That range is rare — and it's exactly what complex problems need.
Matt Farrell is an independent hospitality technology consultant operating through Eat Mighty Ltd, incorporated in Northern Ireland. He works with a small number of software platforms and operators across Ireland and the UK.
Matt began his career in fine dining in 1999 when his father opened Diep Le Shaker in Dublin. In the mid-2000s he launched Diep at Home — one of Ireland's earliest and most successful premium delivery concepts, growing to 11 locations including Dublin Airport with over €20 million in combined annual revenue.
Since 2016, Matt has worked with restaurant groups, QSRs, and hospitality software companies as a technology advisor and operations strategist. He has led competitive intelligence projects across the middleware landscape, mapped product gaps in emerging hospitality tooling, and structured commercial partnerships with international software clients — bringing genuine operator credibility to the strategy table at every level.
Most advisors know the technology or the operations. Very few know both. Matt has spent 25 years on one side and a decade on the other — and that's what makes the difference.
